Sticks and Stones Camp (8/3/2015)

Day One

Today marked a new week for the six to eight year old group of mountain bikers.  We have several returning campers along with a few new faces.  It's always good to see repeat campers because it means they are ready to do some more biking!

We always have the younger group of riders get used to going over roots, branches and rocks by setting up a simulated sequence of obstacles. This is to ensure that they will gain confidence of riding over common terrain that they will run into while mountain biking.

All of the riders looked great so we headed out to explore the trails on a free ride.  Following that we biked to an outdoor research park, had a scavenger hunt, found a cool rock outcropping, and then went on another big loop to finish off first day of camp.

Great job riding today!
