Day Three (10 - 12 year old camp):
Rothrock State Forest is always a highly anticipated endeavor for the riders of Sticks and Stones. As its name implies, there are a lot of rocks to contend with along the trails. We talked a lot about how to assess each rocky area to give each rider the tools they needed to clear each "rock garden."
The mountain bikers did an outstanding job navigating through new challenging terrain and a solid one mile climb where they were then rewarded with a delicious hot dog cooked over a camp fire. Below is an assortment of photos to give a brief idea of what the last day of this week's camp looked like!
